Saturday, Nov. 1 — Contra dance in the evening, Morris team dance out during the day

Our regularly scheduled Saturday evening Contra dance features the New Hip Trio (Joe DeZarn, Liz Donaldson, Ralph Gordon) and caller Steve Gester. Dance info at http://smad.us/dance/

The Shepherdstown Morris team, Hicks with Sticks, hosts an Ale with Morris teams from other areas.
They will dance out in Shepherdstown and Martinsburg throughout the day; you are welcome to accompany them on their tours, or meet up with them for the last stands of the day as follows:

3PM stand at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown
4PM final dance stand for the day in the center of Shepherdstown

Saturday, Nov. 29 — Contra Dance and Concert

As part of the International Concert Series a special afternoon contra dance featuring Klezmos (Marc Glickman, Wendy Morrison, Jonah Blaustein, Ralph Gordon, and special guest Steve Hickman) and caller Greg Frock. Dance begins at 2PM at the Men's Club, our usual dance location. Dance info at http://smad.us/dance/

In the evening Klezmos has promised a rockin' concert, and they do know how to have fun! Make a day of it -- dance, have dinner in Shepherdstown, and enjoy live music. Concert details at http://smad.us/concerts/

Saturday, Dec. 6 — Contra Dance and Holiday Potluck Dinner

Contra dance featuring Crowfoot (Jaige Trudel, Nicholas Williams, Adam Broome) with Adina Gordon calling. Special potluck dinner before the dance. Dinner at 6, dance at 8. Details at http://smad.us/dance/

...to all Shepherdstown Music and Dance devotees -- our friends of DC Lambda Squares (http://www.dclambdasquares.org/sts/), which has sponsored an East Coast square dance weekend at Harpers Ferry's Hilltop House for the past 13 Novembers, will be dancing in Shepherdstown on Saturday, November 8.

Dance options include:

1. Contra Dancing, 4:00�5:30 pm at the War Memorial Hall; $5.00 admission
2. Various levels of Modern Western Square Dancing, with periodic introductory tips for beginners, 7:00�10:00 pm at the War Memorial Hall; FREE admission
3. Country/Western Dancing, 7:30�11:00 pm at the Shepherdstown Train Station; FREE admission
4. Full day of Square Dancing, 9:00 am�11:00 pm at the War Memorial Hall and at the Entler Hotel; $25.00 (special rate for local residents)
