Just a few more weeks until FootFall. Dancers are coming not just from Virginia, Maryland, and DC, but from California, Louisiana, Colorado, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Michigan, Kansas, and Texas. One of the musicians is flying in from Ireland.

If you've been intending to sign up for FootFall but haven't yet done so, we'd like to remind you that there's an additional $25 fee for registrations received on-line after 12:01 AM Saturday, August 21st, or postmarked August 22 or later. If you're 26 or older it's $205 now, but it'll be $230 on Saturday morning. So dig out that registration form that you've had on the desk since June, find your checkbook, an envelope, and a stamp and get it in the mail. Or do it the easy way - go directly to the website - http://footfalldance.com - and sign up using PayPal.

If you had intended to apply for a sweeper fellowship, we have filled those slots. It is always possible we will need an alternate, but you would need to sign up at the regular rate and let us know that you would be available to sweep. If we need you, we will reimburse you for the difference between the regular rate and the fellowship rate. Please email us regarding your willingness to be a sweeper alternate. If you wish to apply for a kitchen fellowship, we have filled most of the eight slots, so please contact us by email within the next few days - it reduces your fee to $120 for the entire weekend. Please note there is no food preparation or serving involved in being a Food Fellow. It's basically just busing and wiping tables, and loading the dishwasher. FootFall makes these arrangements because otherwise the camp would require that we use disposable plates and tableware - all of which would wind up in the landfill. As with the sweepers, we would like to encourage one or two dancers to sign up at the regular rate, but be prepared to fill a kitchen fellowship slot if one becomes vacant at the last minute.
