"Starry nights... fabulous bands and callers... brilliant dance hall decorations... excellent late night snacks... a magical weekend... perfect....FootFall was simply the best managed dance experience ever.... I liked all of it, except it wasn't long enough."
You're getting this email because you've been to at least one FootFall, and we thought you'd like to know that registration for the fourth annual FootFall Dance Weekend is now open!
Come to Timber Ridge Camp the weekend after Labor Day, September 10-12, 2010, and dance to Adina Gordon and Bob Isaacs calling contras and squares to Night Watch, The Contraptions, and The Love Mongrels. Plus Gaye Fifer and Wayne Albright teaching waltz, Ted Hodapp and Lynn Baumeister teaching odd-count French waltz and hambo, Jamie Platt teaching International dance, and Melissa Running teaching English Country dance. But wait, there's more: singing on Saturday and Sunday morning; a fossil dig; a Cajun dance workshop; a late-night post-dance swim, complete with glow-necklaces. The tentative schedule will be posted on the website soon, as will the menu.
The 2010 color is purple, so if you've always wanted a purple button or coffee mug - this is your year! If you plan on bringing your 2007 (orange), 2008 (red), or 2009 (green) mug with you, and don't want a new purple one, let us know.
Our costs are unchanged this year, so your cost per person is $205, or $150 for ages 14-25. If you are interested in working as a FootFellow - either helping in the dining hall or as a sweeper, please email us and let us know. FootFellows pay only $120.
If you would like more information, please go to our website http://footfalldance.com . You can register and pay (through PayPal) online. If you would like us to mail you a brochure, please email us and give us a snail-mail address, or look for our brochure at your local dance.
We hope you will join us this September.
